Rules of the game
We’re working towards a Kickstarter release later in 2026, but for the meantime the developing rules are free to download and use.
All we’d ask is that if you give it a go, send us some feedback!
-
Each faction in the game is themed around a musical genre. As we build up our catalogue, we’ll be introducing sub-genres as sub-factions and more factions.
The starting factions are Dead Punks and the Iron Bastion. The Bastion are inspired by Metal, hopefully Dead Punks is pretty easy to work out.
-
You’ll need to print out the unit cards, standees, terrain, track list and tokens.
The battlefield is 3’ x 3’.
6 ten-sided dice and one normal six-sided dice (ideally for each player).
Bases (ideally 40mm) with some way of holding the standees.
-
Each game takes place over a series of ‘Tracks’. A Track is split into Intro, Chorus and Outro.
Most of the game takes place during the Chorus, where players activate their units in an order pre-determined by the Track List.
Play continues until a pre-set score is reached or five Tracks have been played.
-
As soon as one player scores 200 Award Points, the game will end at the end of the current Track - meaning the player to trigger the end game may not win.
Award points are scored by completing ‘Gigs’ (which change each Track) and destroying your opponent’s units.
-
We’re aiming for about an hour and a half once you know what you’re doing.
Ideally this is the kind of game where you can have a few goes in an evening without too much bother.
-
We’re hoping to deliver a game that has deep tactical options but isn’t a pain to play. After a game or two you won’t need much to play beyond what’s on the cards in front of you and the crew building rules allow for a large variation of options - especially as we build the roster of Jockeys and DECKs.
